Cruising (Land) | Ferry Cruise to Bremerton's "Turner Joy"

For January CYC is going to Bremerton by ferry for a day trip to tour the Turner Joy destroyer museum. The ship was launched in 1958, and at a length of over 400 feet had a top speed of 32+ knots. The Turner Joy is still in her Vietnam era configuration, so last updated some 50 years ago - when technology was at the beginning of what some of us can barely remember, and is older than others of us!

• Park and take light rail to Pioneer Square station.  
• Walk to the ferry terminal.
• Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry 30 minutes to Bremerton at 11:30 AM.  $10 each,  reduced fare ½ price.
• Turner Joy museum open 10 to 4 PM.  Visit from about 2-4 pm.
• Puget Sound Naval Museum also open 10-4 is an alternative / back up / add on.
• Fast ferry back to Seattle at: 5:10, arrive Seattle 5:40 pm
