Race Team | Junior Varsity Fall 2023

It's here! The moment you all have been waiting for! REGISTRATION FOR FALL RACE TEAM!!!!!!!!!

The Junior Varsity Team is for sailors developing their sailing and racing skills in both singlehanded and doublehanded boats (FJs and Lasers). After multiple seasons of racing the program director may recommend sailors to move up to the Varsity Race Team.

Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm-7:00pm in September and then 4:00pm-6:30pm in October (Unfortunately our practice length is limited by the daylight available). Participants may come as early as 3:30 to begin rigging.  Be prepared for chilly Spring weather. Wetsuits or drysuits are strongly advised. Sailors dressed inappropriately for the weather conditions will not be allowed on the water. 

Participation on our race team requires a membership with CYC Seattle. Please view and complete the membership application here, or fill it out in this registration form. You can choose to join as a month to month member for the months you are on race team. There is no initiation fee, and you may put Michael Dougherty and Geoff Pease as your sponsors. Email juniorsprogram@cycseattle.org for questions. You may still register while your application is being processed.
