November 5-6 – Chili Cook-off at Poulsbo Marina - Not exactly Scandinavian but fun! Cook up your best chili, vote for your favorite, see who wins. There is power at the dock so we can plug in heaters to make the boats toasty warm!
UPDATE: Time to sign up if you are considering joining our November escape to Poulsbo marina. It’s a little less than three hours to cross Puget Sound, go under the Agate Pass bridge, meander past Keyport into Liberty Bay, and then head up to the Port of Poulsbo – the last marina at the North end of the bay.
We can have nice weekend weather any time of the year in Seattle. We have had many great November weekends going to Poulsbo marina, enjoying a walk through town, and eating chili together in the marina meeting room. If the weather turns out to be ugly, we can cancel at the last minute, after all it’s supposed to be an enjoyable cruise, not a feat of storm sail endurance! So, we know all signups are weather dependent. If it turns out you need or want to cancel, just contact me directly, so we know not to expect you.
November shouldn’t be busy, but you may call the Port to reserve a slip: 360-779-9905 from 8 to 4 PM.
When we have more boats registered than can comfortably congregate in one boat cabin, I will call the marina to reserve the group function room for our Chili cook-off dinner.
