CANCELED - Women's Learn to Race

In light of the uncertainty during the upcoming months due to the virus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the women's series for this year. Refunds will be issued as soon as possible. Please take care and we sincerely hope you can join us next year when we resume our program.

CYC is offering an opportunity for women to learn and build camaraderie among female sailors of all levels of experience, from newbies to advanced.

Classes are held Friday evenings on boats at Shilshole Marina that belong to CYC members. We will be meeting at assigned boats between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. Each week following the classes we will meet for a social at CYC. Dinner is included and there is a no host bar available.

Interested in improving your sailing/racing skills? Want to get into racing? CYC Seattle is hosting an evening course to help you increase and improve your skills.

You will learn sail trim, tactics and strategy (starts and mark roundings) and work in the different positions on a race boat. You will find out what is involved in a race and how they are run.

Participants must have completed the Learn to Sail class or have some basic sailing experience.

$75 for members / $150 for non-members

Please note we are not able to prorate to accommodate missed sessions.

Online registration is open to members in February and opens to non-members in April.
Class sizes are limited so sign up early to reserve your spot!
