CYC is offering an opportunity for women to learn to race, improve their sailing skills, and build camaraderie among female sailors of all levels of experience, from newbies to advanced. Participants will be assigned to boats according to their levels of comfort and skill.
Classes are held on boats at Shilshole Marina that belong to CYC members. We will be meeting at assigned boats between 5:30 and 6:00 to rig, and leaving the dock at 6:15 sharp. Following the class each week we will meet for a social at CYC. Dinner is included in the course fee and there is a no host bar available.
Women’s Learn to Race – May 9th , 16th , and May 30th
Learning to Race will be divided by boat depending on whether participants are newer to sailing, or experienced racers who want to improve their skills. You will learn sail trim, tactics and strategy, and work in the different positions on a race boat. You will find out what is involved in a race and how they are run.
$75 per session for members / $125 per session for non-members
