The CYC Sea scouts ship 860 is off and sailing. Under threatening skies and cool temperatures, the first meeting was held at Waterway 18 on Lake Union on March 6th. All scouts met with skipper Darrin Towe for an initial orientation to Ship 860. Later all scouts went for a brisk sail out on Lake Union. A subsequent sail was held on Saturday March 20th. All prospective scouts are welcome and encouraged to come and join the fun. No sailing experience necessary. For more information: cycsea@eskimo.com
The next sea scout meeting will meet at Waterway 18 on Lake Union on April 4th at 9:30 A.M. Topics will include small boat sailing and racing tactics, and instruction with our sailing partners, Sail Sandpoint.
