June 6: Rookie Rally 2011 – Open to all
Corinthian Yacht Club is pleased to announce the upcoming Rookie Rally for 2011. This four-week program, starting June 6 at Shilshole, provides in-depth racing instruction through a series of classroom talks and on-the-water mentoring. June 18: Thistle Fleet Women’s Sailing Clinic
The Seattle Thistle Fleet is organizing a Women’s Sailing Clinic to be held at the Leschi waterfront on Saturday, June 18th, 2011. The focus will be on basic and intermediate sailing and racing skills that are useful in any boat. If you or a female sailor you know would like a chance to try skippering or just learn how to be a better crew as well as the basic racing rules and strategies, this is a perfect opportunity to learn and have fun. Participants will have the opportunity to sail on a variety of racing boats, including Lasers and Thistles. The clinic will offer both on-shore and on-the-water learning and drills. Skippers, please spread the word! Cost is $30/person, which includes breakfast, t-shirt, and after-racing snacks!
