This year’s POD (Pacific Northwest One Design ) Regatta was staged over the Jun 24th-25th weekend on Puget Sound.  33 boats in 6 classes raced  in generally moderate breezes, sunshine and record breaking heat (not to mention current!) CYC Club Sailboat Usage Policy and Skills Test Procedures

CYC members must pass a skills proficiency test facilitated by a CYC board member, staff member, or authorized/skilled designee before using club sailboats. A multitude of innovative ideas were shared at our gathering on Thursday.  As usual, boating crowds are tremendously creative in their problem solving! Ron and Peggy Watt have made plastic mesh sunscreens for their boat.  These are mounted to the outside of their windows with Velcro. Paul and Erika Benson introduced us to Turkish towels.  [ MORE ]
