It is time again for C.Y.C.'s Annual Open House and we would like you to participate. The open house has been a membership drive in past years. This year, in addition to getting new members signed up we hope to make the Open House more functional and fun for the membership as a whole.
The open house is a social event for members and nonmembers to get excited about the upcoming sailing season. It also serves to inform the membership about upcoming educational events, cruises, regattas and volunteer opportunities within the club.
In past years, fleets that have trailered boats have brought a boat to display and a fleet information flyer or display board. Most keel boat fleets have presented information and had a representative on hand to promote and answer questions. This venue is a great place to grow your fleet, create a crew pool, or learn about and get involved in club activities that you were previously unaware of.
If you were a 'Guest member' sailing weeknight events last year, this is the time for you to become full CYC Members. S2 & S3 Initiation fees will be discounted at the Open House and throughout the month of February.
Please pass this invitation on to your friends, fleet members, club members and invite them to join us for light snacks, drinks and renewed energy for the upcoming 2008 Sailing Season!
The clubhouse will also be a great place for you to come and watch the Windjammer & Laser Frostbite Regattas that are taking place on the same day.
